Instinctual Energies – Self-Preservation
We have three basic instinctual drives (forces that ensure our survival) that are essential for human experience, all three residing in us as necessary body-based primal forces. They are Self-preservation, One-to-one and Social instincts. We tend to have one dominant type and knowing these instinctual patterns can help us live healthier, more balanced lives. We also don’t often notice the impact of these patterns as clearly as others in our lives do, especially when they have a different leading type. This is the first of a three-part series which will help you to identify your leading type and how to bring more balance and health to each area. The first session is on the Self-preservation instinct, exploring three ways to balance this area and designing tiny habit recipes that support our physical and material health and wellbeing.
